T O P I C R E V I E Wbklyn55I was fortunate enough to pick up an Apollo 11 coldplate lucite from a cS member a few months ago. Unfortunately, it did not have the paperwork/fact sheet from HistoricSpace. I was wondering if anyone happened to have a spare original sheet that I could buy. Since the lucite itself does not have a S/N on it, any reference number would be acceptable. If none are available, I would accept a good hi-res scan. Thanks.Joel KatzowitzI don't have an extra set of the paperwork but, if you can't find one, I'll be happy to scan mine for you.bklyn55Joel, would greatly appreciate it.nasamadCharlie, did the lucite come with the box? Just wondering if it was worth checking under the tray of the box. Do you mind me asking roughly what you paid for it? I have one I've been considering selling from my collection.GuswasthemanI have a LM coldplate about 19" long and would love to have any information on coldplates. If it would be possible to receive electronic files of scans would be greatly appreciated! Thanks — Michaelbklyn55No box, no paperwork. I paid about $850.SpaceAholic quote:Originally posted by Guswastheman:I have a LM coldplate about 19" long and would love to have any information on coldplates. I was thinking of having mine framed with a plaque, with info about coldplates, but not sure if it devalues the item by removing packaging, what are your thoughts?Looks like you have quite the LM collection! I have a Panel 2, without any switches, knobs or gauges and a Panel 3 backlight section, with the same red plaques as I see on some of your complete panels. Would love to see more of your collection!bklyn55Hey guys, how about me?nasamadThanks for the info Charlie. Shame the box and paperwork weren’t with it. Joel KatzowitzI finally dug up my coldplate COA. I forgot that it was printed on Mylar (mirror finish) so scanning it was an adventure. I just emailed it to you, good luck.SpaceAholic quote:Originally posted by Guswastheman:...not sure if it devalues the item by removing packaging, what are your thoughts? Collectors preference — zero sum game. Plan on unwrapping mine at some point.Of note, AVCO was the sub contractor who manufactured these portions of the cabin thermal control/ECS; the same company was responsible for an even more critical element of the CM's thermal protection system — its heat shield.
